Unlimited Crabs, Shrimps, Scallops, Duck, and Szechuan Dishes at Templo Modern Szechuan Fusion Review

If you love availing of unlimited food offerings, then you’re probably always on the lookout for a unique unlimited dining experience. I’ve recently discovered Templo’s unlimited Szechuan experience which features unlimited crabs, shrimps, scallops, and Szechuan dishes.

The allure of diving into a seafood fanfare coupled with Szechuan cuisine, which is famous for its distinct tingling and numbing spiciness, was enough for my appetite to be enticed.

Salted Egg Shrimp Tempura
I couldn't get enough of their salted egg tempura. Although it's not the kind of tempura I expected because their breading is different from what tempura uses, I can't deny that I'm addicted to their salted egg shrimp tempura.

CRAB Foo Yong
At first, I thought the crab foo yong was fried rice because of its appearance but it was actually an omelet.

Szechuan Scallop

Crab Rice
With the flavors of crab bursting from their crab rice, it certainly was a delicious feast to enjoy the crab rice alongside their fresh seafood dishes. What makes their crab rice good is the fact that you can clearly taste the crab which they achieved naturally by cooking the rice in the fats of the crab.

SzeChuan Duck Breast
I couldn't tell that it was duck breast at first because consistency-wise and appearance-wise it's like pork but I liked it nonetheless and I ate a lot of it.

Salted egg CRAB
I was surprised at how huge their crabs were. The ones we tried were the crab ala carte which featured large mud crabs. I checked the other tables which availed of their unlimited crabs, they also used mud crabs but it was smaller than the ones served a la carte.

Among the shrimp flavors, the sweet chili shrimp was the best. It's mildly spicy and not too sweet.

Were their Szechuan dishes Spicy?
I love eating spicy food so when I heard that Templo specializes in Szechuan dishes, I was excited to try their dishes. At first, I thought that their food is not as spicy as I expected it to be, I found it to be kind of sweet. When you think of Szechuan cuisine, you think of the tongue-numbing spiciness.

However, when I bit down into the chili pepper, I felt the spiciness explode but their dishes didn’t have a lot of chili pepper and I was only able to eat some at the end of the meal. We were sharing the dishes which explains why I hardly got to eat any chili pepper at the start of our meal. Without the chili pepper, it’s not really spicy which was why my baby was able to eat a lot.

If you are into spicy food, enjoy the spiciness by biting into the chili pepper while eating their food. However, if you don’t like spicy food, just avoid the chili peppers
